Emma Boiston is a mixed media artist based in Northumberland with a focus on textiles, specifically embroidery and rug tufting. Graduating in 2020 from The Glasgow School of Art with a degree in Painting and Printmaking, it was here she discovered the joy of textiles as a narrative tool to explore her relationship to nature and memory, as well as the nostalgia of craft and its position as a historically feminine tool of expression.
